Lightning
Strikes
The frequency and severity of
lightning discharges appears to be increasing
world-wide. Countries that often took no precaution
against lightning are now finding that they need to
address this issue, at least at a basic level. Countries
that have used some lightning protection in the past are
now finding that they need more sophisticated and
powerful methods of protection. In addition, to the
installation of adequate lightning conductors which
protect against direct hits, it is becoming increasingly
important to protect electronic devices from indirect or
secondary effects of lightning. Of course, nothing will
protect electronics from a direct hit.

Reaching
your Crop Management Objectives?
Many growers we visit have
specific targets they want their fertigation and climate
control systems to achieve in each and every day. These
objectives change most days and everyone has different
objectives. In response to this we have added a feature
into the new Minder that allows user to 'set up' up to
48 Alarm 'rules'.
For example a grower can set
parameters into the new Minder so that it will advise
the user if the fertigation system does not achieve 75%
slab moisture by 11.00am. And as another rule the user
may have an alarm sound if the moisture of the slab does
not drop below 65% by 5.00pm.
There are now 1000's of
combinations of rules that can be set to assist the
grower in managing their crop and making changes to
settings. These rule alarms can also be interrogated
from the Minder unit itself, as well as the software
